the Koha Cart
2019 - 2021

The Koha Cart is a makeshift café on wheels which attends progressive gatherings and runs on the gift economy. It was built from discarded materials at the ReMakery in Te Awakairangi, Lower Hutt.

In the summer it serves fresh teas and snacks served on nasturtium leaves and in the winter hot coffee and soup. It has indoor seating for two and a curated bookshelf. Onboard composting facilities are made possible by ABCRS and the "shop" sells reusable grocery bags sewn by men at Rimutaka prison and sunflower seeds for planting.

The Koha Cart is available for your event on request! Please contact Adam here. The cart can also host DIY keep cup making workshops (bring a glass jar to attend).
